Saturday 14 February Casa34 organized another ‘Footsteps Maradona Tour’. Two English Football fanatics (Paul & Glenn) who were going to spend one week in South America to see 8 football matches in 3 different countries were taken on board.
Kick off was at 11.00h in the morning when we picked them up with Tito our taxi driver at their hostal in San Telmo. First stop was Villa Fiorito where we took a look at the slumps where Diego was born and raised and where we paid tribute to one of the world’s greatest by visiting the pitch where he learned to play football.
Then it was off to Argentinos Juniors stadium, the team where Diego started his professional career. Clubman Dario led us around through the museum and then on to the pitch where he showed us the seat that Diego’s father still occupies at every home match of this team.
Finally we went to La Boca where we went to a home match of Boca Juniors, the love of Maradona. At 19.00 P.M. we said goodbye to our English friends. A great day and great Tour. For all Photo impressions, take a look at www.flickr.com/photos/casa34!
